Cassette full-length from this hardcore band from Boise, Idaho.

Our take: Cassette-only full-length from this band out of Boise, Idaho. This has a real avant-garde vibe, with a whole heaping helping of that quirkiness that you tend to expect from bands that hail from out-of-the-way locales. Still, this is definitely hardcore... it's almost uniformly fast, the guitar sound is big, and the vocalist does a lot of screaming, but the song structures are super complicated and math-y, and it sounds like the guitarist(s?) might also be using some weird jazz chords or something. I'm also detecting a possible black metal influence? At any rate, there's a real artsy, 90s kind of vibe here... if you like the aesthetic of that whole Three One G / Gold Standard Laboratories kind of vibe this is going to be right up your alley.
